The issue of interest here is the behaviour of decision agents in supply chain management. The\r\nstudy uses a managerial framework to organize supply-related tasks to the behaviour of specific\r\ninstantiations of decision agents. The reasons why organizations might elect to invest supply chain\r\nmanagement responsibilities in decision agents rather than human functionaries are illustrated.\r\nFinally, this research presents a final construct for optimal agent-based decision making\r\nopportunities. The implication is that a shift of power from humans to computers is shown to be\r\nquite effective on technically tractable decision situations....
This paper examines relational orientation within distribution channels, a field which is less\r\nexplored and which needs further scrutiny. It has two objectives. It proposes a definition and a\r\nmeasurement scale of relational orientation within distribution channels. A theoretical analysis of\r\nrelationships within distribution channels is conducted in order to better understand how\r\ncompanies of distribution channel develop a relational orientation. Then, a qualitative study and an\r\nexploratory quantitative study are conducted. The results indicate that relational orientation within\r\ndistribution channels is a three-dimension concept: temporary commitment, affective commitment\r\nand dependence....
This paper examines relational orientation within distribution channels, a domain which is still\r\nlittle explored and which raises controversies. Specifically, our aim is to propose an explanatory\r\nmodel of relational orientation within distribution channels. To this end, a theoretical analysis\r\nof relationships within distribution channels is conducted in view to better understand how\r\ncompanies of a distribution channel develop a relational orientation. A study of the variables\r\nthat condition its implementation is carried out. This study points out to the role of relational\r\nnorms and trust in developing a relational orientation within distribution channels....
Generation of electronic waste is concurrent with higher demand for equipments consumed by\r\nhouseholds and business institutions. Exponential growth of waste that enters landfill is a\r\nvaluable secondary resource that presents cost-saving opportunities for OEMs through take\r\nback programs, because recoverable assets would otherwise be worthless and hazardous to\r\nenvironmental and human health. This study analyzes the impact of reverse logistics among\r\nelectrical and electronic companies in Malaysia which have established ISO 14000 certified\r\nenvironmental management system. The study on reverse logistics narrows down on business\r\nperformance of various product disposition options; such as repair, recondition, remanufacture,\r\nrecycle and disposal. When products and their added-value constituents are recovered in whole\r\nor in subassemblies, it is essential to recognize the prospective business benefits to ascertain\r\nthe viability of product recovery. The results of this study provide evidence for managers to\r\noptimize restoration of both products and parts functional qualities for reuse or to harvest\r\nrecyclables as material and energy resources which are significantly profitable....
The purpose of this article consists in exploring the regulation strategies of post purchase\r\nregret in the consumer. A qualitative approach was used via in-depth interviews, and focus\r\ngroups were conducted.\r\nThe results obtained allowed us to show that the consumer is often motivated to regulate his\r\nregret to restore a psychological balance that was broken. These regulating strategies of regret\r\nmay be focused either on the objective, the decision, the alternative or on the feeling....
